Your new role

Our client is seeking an experienced Technical Manager to oversee and deliver technical solutions across a portfolio of civils and infrastructure projects. You will provide technical leadership, ensure design and delivery standards are met, and work closely with project teams to resolve complex engineering challenges.

Responsibilities will include:

Lead the technical function across multiple projects, providing engineering guidance and oversight.

Review and approve designs, drawings, method statements, and technical submissions.
*

Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company quality requirements.
*

Support project teams in resolving technical issues on-site and in design coordination.
*

Collaborate with clients, design teams, and subcontractors to deliver projects on time and within budget.
*

Mentor and develop junior technical staff to build internal capability.
*

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and technical innovation.
*

Produce accurate technical reports and maintain clear project documentation.

What you will need to succeed:

Proven experience in a Technical Manager, Senior Engineer, or similar role within civil engineering, infrastructure, or utilities projects.
*

Strong technical knowledge of civils, groundworks, or utilities construction.
*

Ability to read, interpret and challenge designs and drawings.
*

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
*

Experience leading or supporting project teams and mentoring technical staff.
*

Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent professional qualification.
*

Knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and health andamp; safety practices.
