Job Title: Gas Service Engineer
Location: Wythenshawe.
Salary: £22-£23 an hour- 8 week temporary contract

With a strong focus on community, quality service, and compliance, they are now seeking to strengthen their gas servicing team to support continued growth and resident care.



Role Overview:

We are recruiting for a Gas Service Engineer to carry out servicing, maintenance, and emergency repairs on domestic gas appliances and heating systems. This field-based role is ideal for a safety-conscious, technically skilled professional with experience in residential properties and a strong commitment to customer service.



Key Responsibilities:

* Service domestic gas appliances in line with manufacturer specifications and current legislation
* Inspect, diagnose, and repair faults to ensure safe operation
* Respond to emergency gas issues, including identifying and fixing gas escapes
* Complete safety checks and routine maintenance on systems and appliances
* Maintain clear and accurate documentation, ensuring customer satisfaction is captured
* Communicate effectively with tenants and internal teams to deliver excellent customer service
* Ensure all work areas are left clean, tidy, and compliant with health and safety guidelines
* Use company-issued PDA/mobile to manage daily tasks and job records
* Maintain van stock levels and complete vehicle checks in accordance with company policy



Requirements:

* ACS Qualified in core domestic gas modules (e.g., CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1)
* Experience working in domestic settings, ideally within housing or social housing
* Good knowledge of gas safety regulations and industry standards
* Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
* Full UK driving licence
* Excellent communication, customer service, and organisational skills
* Willingness to undertake ongoing training and development
